BIOGRAPHY
Kyle Trowbridge holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from University of Miami and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from San Diego State University. He has had seven solo exhibitions at Emerson Dorsch entitled The Politics of Time, The Pleasure Seekers, What Makes a Boy Start Fires?, The Process of Weeding Out, New Work, Damaged, and Date Due. Selected group exhibitions include Sight Specific at Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Single Fare 2: Please Swipe Again at Sloan Fine Art (New York, NY), New Work Miami 2010 at Miami Art Museum (Miami, FL), The Optic Nerve at The Art Museum of El Salvador (San Salvador, El Salvador), M.O.C.A and Miami at Museum of Contemporary Art (North Miami, FL), Remapping the Caribbean at Museo de Las Casas Reales (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), Tour, A Splice of Life at Hilger Contemporary (Vienna, Austria), and Notes from the Underground at Drake Underground (Toronto, Ontario). Trowbridge was selected as the United States representative for the Vienna Beinnale in 2006. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship for Visual and Media Artists.
