BIOGRAPHY

Brandon Opalka is a self-taught painter with a history in South Florida graffiti. He has had two solo exhibitions at Emerson Dorsch entitled, The Compromise in 2010, and Yonder in 2008. Additional solo exhibitions include Light forces on the dark side at Ingalls & Associates (Miami, FL), and Pig to man, man to pig, then pig to man again at Rocket Projects (Miami, FL). Selected group exhibitions include Bubble Raft and Breaking the Waves at Dorsch Gallery (Miami, FL), Good and Plenty, curated by Kristin Thiele at Art Center South Florida (Miami, FL), Biennial at Art and Cultural Center of Hollywood (Hollywood, FL) and Think warm: Miami Draws for you at Tomio Koyama Gallery (Tokyo, Japan). Brandon’s work is in the collections of Robert Wennett & Mario Cader-Frech (Miami Beach, FL), Bass Museum (Miami Beach, FL), Emmanuel Javogue (Miami Beach, FL), Donald Beachler (New York, NY), Ilan and Carolina Segal (Miami Beach, FL), Alan Dinsfrend (Boston, MA), Four Seasons Collection (Miami, FL), Maggie Hernandez (Miami, FL), Sidney Brien (Miami, FL), and George Linderman (Miami, FL).
