BIOGRAPHY
Magnus Sigurdarson holds a Masters of Fine Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Mixed Media from The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in Reykjavik. SIgurdarson has exhibited internationally at venues such as The Icelandic National Gallery (Reykjavik, Iceland), Nordic Biennial of Contemporary Art at Röda Sten (Gothenburg, Sweden), Don at Chinati Foundation (Marfa, TX) and other institutions in Hannover, Dallas, New York City, as well as in Miami. Magnus has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards including The Visual Arts Stipend Fund from The Icelandic Cultural Ministry, Project grant for The Shanghai International Biennial Urban Sculpture Exhibition, and a Fullbright Grant. He has been awarded an artist residency at IASPIS in Stockholm, Sweden, The Chinese European Art Center in Xiamen, China, and The Nordic Artists’ Centre in Dale, Dalso, Norway.
