BIOGRAPHY
Cheryl Pope holds a Masters degree in Design, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. … is her second solo exhibition at Emerson Dorsch. Pope’s recent solo exhibitions include Just Yell at Monique Meloche Gallery (Chicago, IL), (In)Voluntary Acts, at Mandragoras Art Space (New York, NY) in association with Julian Navarro Projects, Matter of Fact at Dorsch Gallery (Miami, FL), and A Silent I, at Monique Meloche Gallery (Chicago, IL). Selected group exhibitions include Koffer Kunst Chicago + Detroit, curated by Tricia Van Eck at Künstlerhaus Speckstrasse (Germany), Mind the Gap?! At Galleria Bianconi (Milan), and This Side of Paradise at No Longer Empty (New York, NY). Her videos have been screened at Moving Image (New York, NY), the Echo Park Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA) and Dorsch Gallery (Miami, FL). Recent press includes Sculpture Magazine, Vanity Fair, New York Times, and the Washington Post.
